Adoption of a half-brotherSamuel Erwin-Fitzgerald
1970 (Age 33 years)

Note:
Legally adopted by Henry Glen Fitzgerald. Sam was a grown man when Glen and Emma Married and was in the US Army. He loved Glen and especially loved the name "Fitzgerald". It took months to have the name approved by the Army, but did get approved. He played the part of an Irishman through out his life. He was a gay man, a musician, playing the organ beautifully. Sam worked in Angelina County, Texas as a DJ for a radio station, but it is not known where he is located at this time or if he is alive. To call him our half brother would not be what we would want, but being adopted through our dad, Glen, we had to accept the relationship.

Note
2010 I have a sister that no one else could ever have and if they did, they would be so happy about the relationship each of them had for each other. Growing up with Glynda, she became my mother. As my mother was mean and had no idea what love was. Glynda as the older sister, was the most loving, kind, caring person I ever knew. She had patience, honor and respect for others. And I, as myself, was just the opposite from her. A pest, an attention getter and always hung onto her as much as I could. After all, she was my friend. She showed me the way of life, my lifeline so to speak. When I got sick with a ruptured brain anuresym, she was there with me almost every minute she could. She made sure that if she was not there, someone else would come and take her place. I love this woman so much. Now, I'll tell you about who she is. Though she sounds like an angel (and she is my angel). She could stand on her own and let everyone know about how she felt and it was not always pleasant. But, most of the time, she handled herself well. I'm sorry if you don't have a sibling like her. I'm so lucky. Thank you so much Glynda. - Marian
